Committee and Fundraising

Our Voluntary Management Committee

Paulerspury Pre-school is managed by an elected voluntary committee which ensures that major decisions are made by the parents who use the group. The committee is responsible for reviewing both policy and practice, managing pre-school finances and for the employment and appraisal of staff.
The staff and committee always appreciate the support they receive from other parents and meet regularly to discuss fundraising ideas and plan events.
At the end of each summer term some of our committee members move on when their children leave to go to primary school – so we are always looking for new people to get involved.

Fundraising

A major part of the committee’s role is to organise and promote fundraising events. Tasks for events are shared and volunteers can take on one task or arrange a whole event. The more people that join the committee the more the tasks can be shared and the more fun there is!
As Paulerspury Pre-School is a registered charity, fundraising is vital. Our day to day expenses are mostly met by the session fees that we charge and the funding from the government for places for over 3 year olds. However, we still need to raise funds to pay for other essentials such as staff training, craft materials, activities for the children, stationery and many other resources to help support the children’s learning and development.

Even if you don’t want to join the committee, we welcome your ideas and any help you can offer with fundraising. Email us at chair@paulerspurypreschool.co.uk .
